Douri turns your personal goals into a visual journey — one you can follow alone,
alongside strangers chasing the same goal, or with your partner in a private Couple
Space. This page explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
01 Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work, plus what you choose to add.
Account & profile
Email address and authentication data — handled by Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identity token those services provide, not your password.
Username, display name, avatar photo, and bio, if you set them.
Content you create
Goals, daily check-ins, streaks, and journal entries.
Challenges you create or join, and encouragements you send or receive.
Couple Space content: your relationship start date, shared memories (including photos), and couple goals.
Device & usage
A push notification token, if you enable notifications, and your notification preferences.
Subscription and purchase status from RevenueCat — your entitlement (free or premium) and renewal dates. Apple and Google process your payment directly; we never see your card details.
Product analytics events (e.g. app opened, goal created, paywall viewed) collected via PostHog, tied to your account ID.
The AI Weekly Recap only ever sees numbers our database has already
computed for you — check-in counts, streaks, completion rates — never your raw
journal text or photos. Those computed summaries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API
to generate the written recap.
02 How we use it
To operate the app: build your journey view, calculate streaks and progress, and keep your Couple Space in sync with your partner.
To generate your AI Weekly Recap, when you're on a premium plan.
To process and verify your subscription.
To send the notifications you've opted into (daily reminders, social activity, Couple Space updates).
To understand how the app is used, so we can fix what's broken and improve what isn't.
To respond when you contact us for support.
03 Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services that keep Douri running, each acting under its own agreement with us:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Douri and its users.
04 Couple Space & shared content
Couple Space content — your relationship counter, memories, and couple goals — is visible only to you and the one partner you're connected with. It is never public.
Public challenges in Discover show your challenge title, category, and aggregate progress to other participants. Your personal journal, private goals, and Couple Space are never part of that.
Reporting or blocking another user is available inside shared challenges.
05 Storage & security
Every table in our database enforces row-level security — there is no table any user can read or write without an explicit rule scoping it to their own account or shared space.
Photos and media live in private storage buckets. We never generate a public URL for a couple memory or a check-in photo — access always goes through a short-lived signed link.
06 Retention & deletion
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. This removes your profile and cascades to every goal, check-in, journal entry, and piece of content you created, along with your files in storage.
Dissolving a Couple Space is available to either partner. You're offered a chance to export your memories first; once confirmed, the space and its content are deleted for both of you.
We don't keep your data after deletion, except subscription and billing records we're legally required to retain.
07 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Account deletion and, where offered, data export are available directly in the app; for anything else, reach out using the contact details below.
08 Children's privacy
Douri is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
09 Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
